Wise Food Storage Commercial
The TV commercial below has been airing as of September 2015.
Wise Company, sometimes referred to as Wise Food Storage, is a highly-visible seller of long-term food for emergencies or outdoor use. The company has been seen in advertisements in 2015, and offers a free sample on its website.
Wise Company specializes in bulk “just-add-water” emergency food kits. There are less options available than can be found on competitor’s websites. You won’t find baking or cooking items, or small quantities, for example.
The taste of Wise Food Storage kits seem to be the subject of the most debate. There have been a number of older comments which lambasted the taste, referring to the pouches as “inedible” in extreme cases. In May 2015, however, a company rep commented online that “we have reformulated many of our meals.” Indeed, many of the company’s offerings on their website use the phrase “new formulation” and note that sodium and trans fat have been lowered. More recent comments tend to be positive regarding taste in comparison to older reviews.
Although the options may not be as vast as some competitors, Wise does present an acceptable menu including a nice variety of food, presented in easy to store buckets.
It does appear that Wise has taken steps in recent months to fix any problems reported by consumers, and they may finally be making strides to compete with some of the bigger players in the industry.
The company’s free sample is a great way to give their product a risk-free try. Keep in mind that you may get sales solicitations when you request your sample.
A common comparison of Wise is to that of Mountain House, which is a major player in this industry. Mountain House is typically praised for its high-quality and tasty food, although it is priced higher than Wise. Mountain House offers a wider variety of options regarding quantities, down to the availability of single pouches.
Wise Food Storage is making strides to become a major player in the emergency food storage industry. While they may still have some ground to cover, recent adjustments go a long way to calm some of the previous consumer complaints. Order your free sample and give them a try before making a decision.
