Lazer Bond is on Amazon for about $13. You can also find it online and in stores, as shown in the photo below, in which it was available for about $10 here in Las Vegas in January 2016. It seemed to be selling well, as there were only a few left in stock at the time we snapped this photo.

We spotted Lazer Bond USA for $9.99 at a Fry's in Las Vegas in January 2016.

Lazer Bond USA Commercial

The TV commercial below has been airing as of this writing.

Transcript of commercial above:

Things break all the time, and glue never works. What you need is Lazer Bond USA, the amazing liquid plastic that fixes virtually anything in as little as three seconds.

Lazer Bond is not a glue, but a unique liquid plastic that only hardens with the UV light. Now fill out plumbing leaks with three seconds or less. Instantly repair kids’ toys and keep playtime flying.

The magic? A powerful liquid plastic that hardens under ultraviolet light. The best part, the adhesive is made in the USA.

“Wow, that is fast.”

“It bends. It’s flexible.”

If you mess up applying, just wipe clean. No sticky residue. Call now to get Lazer Bond USA for just $19.99 and receive this protective carry case free. But wait. We’re going to double the absolutely free, and ship your order free. Call now.

Lazer Bond USA Reviews

Advertised as a sort of next-gen Super Glue, Lazer Bond USA is touted as “Liquid Plastic” which hardens in three seconds once exposed to a UV light. Thus, as opposed to Super Glue, which hardens as soon as you dispense it, Lazer Bond USA allows you to place the adhesive where you want before setting it with the included light. If you dispense it improperly, you can also wipe it up and start over. But does it work?

We found Lazer Bond USA to work moderately well on certain types of repair jobs. Transparent items, seams, and even clothing worked well in our tests. Metal pipes, however, were more problematic and we did not feel this was a good use for the product (as shown in the ad above). The thicker the repair job, the longer it takes to completely harden. The three second hardening time cited in the advertising is not universal to all types of repair jobs.

While the ad states that Laser Bond USA will harden in as little as 3 seconds, thus making it comparable with Super Glue, we found that it typically took much longer. In fact, we didn’t feel that it was completely hardened for several hours with certain items. Be sure to use a small amount in order to get the most out of your tube, as there is not a generous amount included inside.

Lazer Bond USA doesn’t seem to bear loads as efficiently as super glue. It is closer to hot glue in its ability to repair items that won’t bear much of a load.

Brought to you by telemarketing giant Telebrands, Lazer Bond USA was originally advertised with the standard As Seen on TV ploy for $10 with a second mandatory “free” unit included with additional shipping. You’ll still read about this old offer on outdated review sites. The product, however, is now offered for $19.99 with free shipping. This is probably because Laser Bond USA has become available in stores for as low as $10.

By sporting the term “USA” in the name, the commercial states that the adhesive is made in the USA. The packaging, however, notes that pretty much everything else is made in China.

Lazer Bond USA holds a 2.9 star rating on Amazon. Comments range from “Worst product ever” to “was very happy with the results.” Perhaps one red flag on that page is that nearly 50% of ratings for the product are only 1 star.

Your mileage will almost certainly vary.

Similar Products

There are countless liquid resins available, although not all of them are marketed as an alternative to glue. Another As Seen on TV product called 5-Second Fix (full review here) is marketed virtually the same as Lazer Bond USA, and also includes a UV light to harden the material. That product currently holds a 2.5-star rating on Amazon.

Epic Conclusion

Lazer Bond USA is an alternative to regular glue and requires a UV light to harden. Although it doesn’t usually dry in 3 seconds as advertised, it does perform well under some conditions, and could be a good product to have on hand for simple repairs. Buy locally to avoid shipping delays.
